Hello to the 4 people who read my blog!
As I sit here in my bed at 10:40 PM, hacking my lungs through my throat and onto the floor, I think about the new year, and what I want to do different. Every year people talk about their New Year’s Resolutions. I don’t know very many people who have actually followed through with even ONE resolution. A very close friend of mine did succeed one year and did one new thing each month for a year. For example: March – no meat. April – work at a soup kitchen. August – only eat white things. (inspired by Howard Hughes, I suppose…Not sure if he actually even did that.)
I was watching Momversation videos tonight (it’s what I do when I’m sick!) and I stumbled upon one that discussed following through with resolutions. Some of them did, some of them didn’t. Some of them met theirs half way. Earlier today my friend said she was making a list of 10 things she wanted for herself this year. A set of goals, so to speak. Do you think that you can achieve ten goals this year? Truly, honestly, set 10 goals for yourself and really follow through with them?
The moms in the Momversation video were pretty proud that they accomplished some. My friend is pretty confident that at least one goal will be achieved this year. I have yet to think of mine for the year, and I will definitely post it when it’s ready. Hopefully they will all happen!!!
